This year, Tampa Bay Times investigative journalists revealed Florida’s only lead smelter has poisoned its Tampa workers and the surrounding community.
Tonight at 7 p.m., you can hear from reporters Corey G. Johnson, Rebecca Woolington and Eli Murray about their Poisoned findings, the work that went into their three-part series and the impact so far. The conversation will be moderated by me, Times engagement editor Ashley Dye.
New to Twitter Spaces? The social media platform’s feature allows you to listen to a live conversation, and request to speak so you can comment or ask questions.
The mobile app even allows you to continue listening as you scroll your timeline or if you move to a different app, as long as you don’t close out of Twitter. You can listen on your web browser, too, although you won’t be able to request to speak.
We look forward to talking with you and hearing your questions. Here’s how you can tune in at 7 p.m.:
• Open your Twitter mobile app and visit our profile, then tap on our profile image. (A purple circle should be around the image when we are live.)
• Or simply visit this Space link, which provides an option to schedule a reminder.
Then tap the “Start listening” button.
Last week, Johnson, Woolington and Murray also hosted a Reddit AMA. If you’d like, you can read those conversations.
