Castor was sworn in for a second term as Tampa’s mayor during a ceremony at Armature Works.
Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and Tampa City Council members took their oaths of office Monday.
Council members are District 1, Alan Clendenin; District 2, Guido Maniscalco; District 3, Lynn Hurtak; District 4, Bill Carlson; District 5, Gwendolyn Henderson; District 6, Charlie Miranda and District 7, Luis Viera.
In remarks afterward, Castor, in the first speech of her second term, said, “The next four years will be about not only investing in the physical infrastructure — like roads, pipes, and housing that keep us resilient as a city — but investing in the infrastructure of people. Like the arts, parks and places that will continue to make Tampa thrive as a community,” according to a written news release from the city.
