TAMPA — Southbound lanes of Interstate 275, carrying traffic from Tampa to St. Petersburg, were closed for almost two hours Monday morning near Dale Mabry Highway Highway after two trucks overturned in a collision.

Traffic was routed off I-275 at the Dale Mabry interchange, the Highway Patrol said in a news release at 9:35 a.m. The highway was reopened by 11:20 a.m.

No one was injured in the crash.

It occurred when a trailer hauling yard waste and pulled by a pickup truck fishtailed as the pickup was overtaking a commercial truck carrying 245 propane tanks.

The pickup driver lost control and collided with the front of the other truck, pushing it into a guardrail and causing it to spin and overturn on its side. The pickup jackknifed before coming to rest. The trucks spilled their cargo and blocked all the southbound travel lanes.

The pickup driver, a 35-year-old Tampa man, was cited on a charge of making an improper lane change.
