Ehrlich closed at intersection with Veterans Expressway

Bridge expansion to close part of Ehrlich

The portion of Ehrlich Road running under the Veterans Expressway will be closed this weekend for construction on a bridge expansion project, the Florida Department of Transportation said.

Traffic is allowed up to the intersection but will have to make a U-turn once coming up to the expressway unless taking one of the expressway ramps. The north and southbound exits onto the expressway remain open, DOT said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office urges motorists to take an alternative route because traffic is backed up on Ehrlich.
