Monday morning in Tampa Bay began blissfully, with temperatures hovering around the high 60s in some areas, but local temperatures will creep back up throughout the week, according to WTSP 10Weather meteorologist Bobby Deskins.
"It's going to kind of gradually warm back up over the next couple of days," he said.
Temperatures are expected to top out in the mid- to upper-80s through Friday. Rain chances will be low — 10 to 20 percent — until Thursday, Deskins said, when the dew point rises and brings more mugginess to the region.
"That low pressure that's been bringing all the flooding to South Carolina is responsible for all the scattered showers we saw over the weekend. We're just on the back side of it," Deskins said.
Starting Thursday, he said, local residents can expect afternoon showers and warmer mornings.
