The weekend weather promises to be a mixed bag.
A cool front is moving through the Tampa Bay area, bringing a 60 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday.
"Beginning today, we have an area of clouds and showers that will spread from the Gulf of Mexico across Florida," said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.
High temperatures both days are expected to be in the mid-70s.
The cool front will be followed by drier air on Sunday with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s.
"People who are warm weather fans will enjoy Sunday," Marquez said.
Another cool front is expected to move through the area early next week.
