Somebody needs to fill potholes
Turning off Shady Hills Road onto Lancer Road, there are so many potholes that it is a wonder that someone hasn't had a serious accident or gotten hurt. Some of these potholes are very deep and extend halfway across the road. Two cars going in different directions can't even pass each other; one has to stop and wait.
I have called the county about repairing these potholes, and was told that this is a private road up to a certain point on Lancer. However, in the past, the county has been out and filled the potholes. But every year they wash out again and get bigger. If this is a private road, then why doesn't the county insist that whomever owns the road either fill in the potholes or repave the road?
There are a lot of children living in this area, which requires several school buses to travel this road every day. Is it going to take a really bad accident with someone getting injured, damage to a school bus, or a child getting hurt because of one of these potholes before the county does something about getting them repaired?
