Brooksville Blues-In Cruise-In: Brooksville Main Street and Hernando County Growers' Association will host this monthly event from 5 to 9 p.m. July 20 in front of the historic Hernando County Courthouse, 20 N Main St., Brooksville. Live music provided by Blue Z Band on the courthouse steps. The car show is coordinated by AK Customz, Inc. Downtown restaurants will be open. 'It's a Zoo' exhibit reception: The reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 19 at the Uptown Gallery at Brooksville City Hall, 205 Howell Ave., Brooksville. Meet some of the artists and enjoy refreshments. Music will be provided by Ben Meeks and the Memory Makers. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit is open through Sept. 7. Look ahead

Stage West's Fire & Ice Hamis: The annual gala event will be July 27 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. The Hami Awards will be given in recognition of the 2018-19 season. Hors d'oeuvres will be at 6 p.m., awards ceremony at 7 p.m., and desserts, coffee and tea served after the ceremony.
