I think I say this every year, but 2017 was a year of incredible growth. I spent the first half of the year completing my work on the Why Cops Shoot project and working closely with Dirk Shadd on the Hot Wheels project about juvenile auto theft. <br>

Although the farm used to be at the end of a dirt road, development has closed in on the property, which was sold for $20 million. "They offered them so much money they couldn't afford not to sell it, " Sammy Busciglio said.

A season that started with high hopes for the Seminoles ended with the Hurricanes in the ACC Championship and an Orange Bowl invitation. As the year wraps up, I’m realizing how grateful I am for a job where I can cover such varied topics. I’m looking forward to next year and all of the surprises that come with it.
