The project will officially open for Buckhorn's State of the City speech Friday morning. The grand opening celebration continues this weekend with Riverfront Rocks, a two-day celebration featuring live music, food, activities and fireworks.
The River Center Community Building and Boathouse is the crown jewel of the new Julian B. Lane Riverfront Par. It will house dragon boats, sculling boats and stand up paddle boards. The top floor features a event space with balcony, warming kitchen and small meeting rooms.
The public can get a sneak peak of the 25 acre park Friday during the State of the City speech by Mayor Bob Buckhorn or attend the two day grand opening celebration this weekend.
