Is anything being done about the congestion on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard?

The Florida Department of Transportation is conducting a study along State Road 60, also known as Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, from Bay Avenue to McMullen Booth Road, and the Drew Street corridor. According to its website, the study will "identify potential improvements along the corridor" but that it is hampered by "lack of available rights-of-way, heavy land development, prevalence of several recreational and public uses and that it is already a six-lane facility."

Other updates:

• 46th Avenue N from 49th Street to 37th Street will see lane closures until Feb. 28 due to ADA and sidewalk improvements.

• Highland Road from Druid Road to Lakeview Road will see detours until Feb. 1 due to storm pipe replacements.
