Forum to address hunger

Registration for Largo summer camps now open

LARGO — The city offering more than 60 full and half-day summer camps for preschool, elementary, middle school and teenage children. Registration is open.

Parents can choose from six full day camps, 15 sports camps and 33 specialty camps, including theater, aquatic, dance and a new teen adventure field trip created for ages 12 and up. Community forum to address hunger

Five people on the front lines of dealing with hunger in Pinellas County will be part of the Meals of Hope Hunger Awareness Forum at St. Alfred’s Episcopal Church, 1601 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor. Caitlyn Peacock, executive director of Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger; Melvin Thomas, executive director of RCS Food Bank; Gina Wilkins, founder and CEO of the Kind Mouse; Jane Walker, executive director of DayStar Life Center; and Martha Goodwill, representing Benison Farm, a partnership between St. Augustine’s and St. Thomas Episcopal Churches will participate in a 90-minute forum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Clothes to Kids seeking donations

Clothes To Kids is collecting new and gently-used clothing, with a special need for elementary school girls and boys clothes sizes 6-16, junior sizes 0-22, young men sizes 18-44. Accessories, shoes suitable for school and unopened packages of underwear and socks are also being collected. Donations may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at any of the following locations: 1059 N. Hercules Ave., Clearwater and 2168 34th Street S, St. Petersburg.
