Well, that was fast.
Just a day after reporting that Pasco's Woodland Elementary School needs a new principal, it has one.
Now West Zephyrhills Elementary needs a new principal, instead.
Woodland staffers learned Wednesday morning that Wendy Lane, the school's former assistant principal, is returning to lead their school. Area superintendent Monica Ilse, who recommended the transfer, has asked the human resources department to advertise the West Zephyrhills job as soon as possible.
Lane, a Pasco High alumna, moved to West Zephyrhills in 2012.
Superintendent Kurt Browning said a year ago he would seek to limit mid-year job transfers, to avoid a domino effect that upsets schools and classrooms. Teachers return to work next week, and classes start the following Monday.
