Quinton Flowers to be profiled on 'College GameDay'

Bulls QB Quinton Flowers' compelling triumph-despite-tragedy backstory is getting another national audience.

Flowers will be profiled during a segment on ESPN's wildly successful College GameDay pregame show Saturday morning. An ESPN crew spent most of the week on campus interviewing Flowers, Coach Charlie Strong and CB Deatrick Nichols (one of Flowers' best friends), among others.

Flowers, three wins shy of tying Marquel Blackwell's school record for most victories (30) by a Bulls starting quarterback, lost both parents before his senior year at Miami Jackson High. Days before his first college start, a half-brother was killed in a drive-by shooting.

Yet he owns numerous career and single-season school records, and has evolved into the all-time leading rusher among Florida college quarterbacks (3,207 yards).
