DEVELOPING: The Rays officially activated DH Luke Scott from the DL on Tuesday afternoon, and made room by designating for assignment Shelley Duncan.
Scott has been out since straining his right calf in late March and went 4-for-18 in five rehab games for advanced Class A Charlotte.
Duncan, who hit .182 in 20 games, is out of options. The Rays have 10 days to release him, trade him or pass him through waivers to send him to the minors.
