Rays-Blue Jays game still on for tonight at Trop

Tonight's Rays-Blue Jays game at the Trop remains on for tonight despite continuing remnants of Hurricane Hermine.

Though the ongoing rain and winds won't impact play inside the domed stadium, there can be issues regarding street flooding, travel, staffing and deployment of police and emergency personnel.

Two previous hurricanes have resulted in postponements at the Trop: Two games in 2004 vs. Detroit so the Tigers could fly out in advance of Hurricane Frances, and 2000 vs. Oakland so the A's could leave ahead of Hurricane Gordon.

First pitch tonight is 7:10, with the game marking the return of Alex Cobb, who makes his first big-league start since September 2014 after undergoing Tommy John elbow surgery.
