The Rays made another change in their bullpen after Tuesday's 3-2 10-inning walkoff loss to the Astros, optioning LHP Enny Romero back to Triple-A Durham and recalling RHP Matt Andriese.
Andriese, who was scratched from his scheduled Tuesday start for the Bulls, gives the Rays a reliever with the potential to work multiple innings. This will be his fifth stint with the Rays; in between he has been pitching relatively well for Durham, 3-3, 2.35 in 13 games (12 starts).
Romero was called up Monday - when INF Richie Shaffer was sent down - to add a seventh reliever. He worked the final inning of Monday's game.
