Rick Scott wants Leslie Dougher re-elected Fla GOP chair

A note from Rick Scott to Florida Republican party leaders:

Today I am proud to endorse Leslie Dougher for re-election as Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida.

I am grateful to Leslie for her hard work, and that of the entire RPOF team, which helped propel our Republican candidates to victory earlier this month. She took the reins during a critical point in this campaign and made the transition of leadership seamless. Without missing a beat Leslie began traveling the state, helping to put the infrastructure in place that led our statewide and local candidates to impressive wins.

Leslie has a real understanding of the important role the grassroots plays in winning elections because that's where she came from, and that is evidenced by the incredible turnout operation that made more voter contacts than any other Republican campaign in Florida history. Not only did our entire Cabinet get re-elected and we retained every seat in the State Senate and the State House, but we picked up an additional six competitive seats in the House.

Leslie knows the effort it will take to win in 2016, and I'm grateful for her hard work in organizing the strongest and most effective grassroots team Florida has ever seen. I know her commitment to building on this foundation will continue as we move toward 2016.

All eyes will be on Florida for 2016. I am confident that Leslie will lead with integrity and enthusiasm as we continue to build the strength of RPOF and our entire Republican Executive Committee.
