TV and talk show host Rosie O'Donnell has seen the light, selling off her house on Miami Beach's Star Island and opting to move to Casey Key in Sarasota County. While we already agree the Gulf Coast is better than South Florida, she also got the house for a comparative steal.
O'Donnell bought a 4,647-square-foot beach house for a mere $5 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. That's way less than the Star Island house O'Donnell sold earlier this year for $16.5 million. Plus: Sunsets are still better than sunrise. Sorry, but it's true.
The WSJ says the four-bedroom, seven-bath house has French oak flooring, custom cabinetry, built-in wine coolers, two dishwashers and a coffee station, in addition to an outdoor kitchen, pool, spa and boat slip. We figure she must have had to downsize since The Rosie Show was canceled by OWN last year, but she'll like it better over here, anyway.
