LG pranks: You've got to love a manufacturer with a sense of humor. To promote its new IPS (in-place switching) monitors that has "true-to-life colors" and "smooth color clarity" from any angle, LG set up a couple of pranks: an optical illusion for elevator riders, and screens set up behind urinals in the restroom.

Google Play ahead of Amazon:
The number of free apps downloaded from Google Play store in the United States is 10 times more than the Amazon Appstore, according to a research by Distimo. Most popular were video game apps, led by Temple Run 2.

Digital Life: AT&T announced that it's launching its new home security and automation services, where you can control your thermostat and locks, and monitor your home from your phone or tablet. Verizon also has a service that's comparable.
