USF confirmed short- and long-term modifications to its fluid football schedule Thursday, including the move of this year's UCF game in Orlando to a Thanksgiving night kickoff.

The game, originally scheduled for Black Friday, will start at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN.

"It is fitting that this outstanding rivalry game will be played in prime time on Thanksgiving and available to a national ESPN television audience," American Athletic Conference commissioner Mike Aresco said in a news release.

Elsewhere, the Bulls and Texas have agreed to move the start of their three-game series back a year, pending approval by the UT Board of Regents. The series opener, originally slated for 2019, now will be played Sept. 5, 2020 in Austin. The Longhorns visit Tampa in 2022 and USF returns to the Lone Star State in '24.

The Bulls also have added a home-and-home series with Massachusetts, replacing the '17 return game of a home-and-home series with Wisconsin. The Bulls host UMass on Oct. 14, 2017 and travel to New England on Oct. 6, 2018.

The return game against Wisconsin has been pushed back to Aug. 31, 2019 in Tampa.

Other changes:

* The second game of the Bulls-Northern Illinois series has been moved up two weeks to Sept. 9, 2017 in DeKalb. The series opener -- Sept. 10, 2016 in Tampa -- remains intact.

* The Bulls will push back their first of their two-game series against Illinois back a week, to Sept. 16, 2017. The second game remains Sept. 15, 2018 in Champaign.

* The remaining contest in the two-game series with Nevada has been pushed back two weeks, to Sept. 19, 2020 in Tampa. USF won the first game, 32-31 in '12.
