Shawn Mendes has performed before so many fans in Tampa, you could be forgiven for forgetting he's never actually headlined a show of his own.

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter played for thousands of fans at the 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball in 2014 and 2015, and he opened Taylor Swift's blockbuster 1989 Tour at Raymond James Stadium last fall.

Finally, though, Tampa Bay's screaming tweens can get a full night of hot Shawn Mendes action.

The singer's just-announced Illuminate World Tour will stop at Tampa's Amalie Arena next July 25. Tickets, starting at $43.75, will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Sept. 24, with fan club pre-sales starting Sept. 11. Click here for details. (And if you want to make a week of it, he'll also be at Orlando's Amway Center on July 28; click here for info.)

The Canadian wunderkind's tour will support his sophomore album Illuminate, due Sept. 23. But if you know any tweens, they've probably been singing hits like Stitches and I Know What You Did Last Summer for a couple of years now.

He may be only 18, but you can bet Mendes shouldn't have any stage fright about headlining his first arena tour. He's already played too many huge shows to be nervous about that.
