Sights, scenes and thoughts from College GameDay for FSU-Louisville

UPDATE: Florida State defensive end Josh Sweat is dressed out and going through team warmups. The former five-star recruit looks as if he'll be playing, despite tweaking his knee during practice this week.

It's not raining anymore, but it rained sideways about an hour ago. The field might be slick, which should favor FSU and its better ground game. My original, full post is below.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Happy game day from Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and, well, ESPN's College GameDay.

It's the first time the traveling college football show has visited Louisville, and there's quite a bit of enthusiasm, as you would imagine. I started seeing Cardinals signs a few minutes after my flight landed yesterday, and I haven't stopped.

A few odds and ends before today's showdown between No. 2 Florida State and No. 10 Louisville.

It sounds as if FSU defensive end Josh Sweat will play today, or at least try to. He reportedly tweaked his knee in practice Thursday. If the 'Noles can slow down Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, Sweat will need to play well - assuming he plays at all.

Louisville is honoring The Greatest, Muhammad Ali. There's a white butterfly (as in float like a butterfly, sting like a bee) with his name painted on the grass near the north end zone.

I expect a pretty decent FSU crowd today, judging by what I've seen in my hotel and in the tailgating lots.

Some gloomy clouds are approaching. There's a good chance of rain later this morning, but it might clear up by the noon kickoff.

Best GameDay sign I've seen: The only Noles we respect is...BEYONCE.
