Partners at the Youth Fountain, Dr. Rada and Emil Shakov, are two experienced board-certified medical professionals who’ve worked closely with their patients for more than a decade. Known for operating a top-rated med spa in New Jersey, where they provide body sculpting, body contouring, injectables, and a broad range of other aesthetic services, these partners are an influential pair with a passion for giving back to the community they serve.

When they’re not working with patients to maintain a level of excellence that keeps their clients fully satisfied with the experience, they’re often contributing to different local charities to support the less fortunate and those struggling with various illnesses. They believe in the difference that giving back to the community makes, especially for young children from disadvantaged communities dealing with hunger and poverty.

“I’m extremely passionate about helping the children. I’m a mother, and I couldn’t imagine the thought of my children struggling for warm clothes or food to eat. So, I’ve made it my priority to donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital each month while also supporting a local charity in the area that feeds the children,” shares Rada Shakov. “I want to make that difference by helping these children, whether they’re struggling with cancer, diseases, or even dealing with poverty and food insecurity.”

Dr. Rada and Dr. Emil Shakov believe in making monthly contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital because it’s one of the leading hospitals for children in the world. They want the medical professionals, researchers, and children to receive the help needed to fight for cures and treatment options for children with cancer and other diseases that have the potential to become fatal.

“It’s heartbreaking to think of children going through such traumatic situations, such as cancer. But, no child should have to go through that, so we do our part to help,” says Dr. Rada Shakov. “We hope to inspire others to be charitable and support these organizations that are trying endlessly to make a difference while fighting for children to live cancer-free, disease-free lives.”

In addition to supporting two charities that touch their hearts and remind them of their own wonderful children, the Shakov’s have donated to the construction of a fantastic playground, Challenger Place, designed for children of all ages and needs. They also visit local businesses and enjoy using their services and buying products from local business owners instead of the big box stores. “We try to shop at small businesses as often as possible. When we’re not doing that, we’re donating food and funds to our local food charity to make a difference. We want to show appreciation and gratitude to the community that so graciously accepted us when we started our business while helping others when they need it the most,” says Dr. Emil Shakov.

Dr. Rada and Emil Shakov consider themselves advocates for many charities that they hold close to their hearts, using their prominence for the greater good of many people, including those within their local community, such as children and veterans. Despite their long hours at The Youth Fountain, where they spend most of their time working with clients, they always make time to give back.
