TAMPA — The Rays announced their new stadium plans in Ybor, Tuesday afternoon. Rays’ principal owner Stuart  Sternberg said “It’s a historic day for us,” and that the ball park will be open to the public all year- round “for the people.”

The ballpark will have a translucent roof, see-through walls, the smallest capacity in MLB at 30,842 and is projected to cost $892 million. Here’s a sampling of Twitter reaction to the news:
