It’s October, you go to a Rays Playoff game than hop on the trolley to see a Lightning game
this is a world I wanna live in
The roof of the new Rays stadium proposal looks like a mix between the Metrodome roof and Spaceship Earth at Epcot but clear. pic.twitter.com/v6FrowAmyt

Yeah, but will there be a ray tank at the new #RaysStadium?

Also owners are crazy if they think any of that money should come from the public. Can't even get 10,000 people to watch a .500 team.
WOW! 892 MILLION dollars for new Tampa Bay Rays stadium?
— Al Tompkins (@atompkins) July 10, 2018
Compare:
$720 million (Lucas Oil 2008),
$1.15 billion (Cowboys 2009)
$1.5 billion (Yankee)
$1.6 billion (MetLife Stadium, 2010).
$1.6 billion (Atlanta Falcons Stadium)
$2.66 billion (LA) https://t.co/t9Nb0R3ou9 pic.twitter.com/LvJeSX6LX1
The Rays are building a new stadium. That’s a great idea. A new stadium for people to not attend games at.

#RaysUp #RaysStadium renderings are amazing wow. 10 minutes from Brandon love it. Crosstown and I’m there. #juntosmiami for life but I’ll support local city. #Tampa pic.twitter.com/UW7hEt9v51

The city and its taxpayers will never vote for a tax hike to pay for a Rays stadium for a team consistently a bottom dweller in attendance. Stadium looks cool af. But it won’t happen.

This looks like an update of the St. Pete park with the flying sail roof that fell through several years ago. #RaysStadium https://t.co/wV4xcJwWqB

My favorite part of the renderings for the new Ray's stadium is all the people in the stands. #sickburn

all of you realize this #RaysStadium is never going to happen, right? Call me when there are shovels in the dirt & money is actually available and being spent. Montreal will have a team before the #Rays are in Ybor.

So far I'm liking a lot of aspects of the #RaysStadium design. But not nearly enough red brick for Ybor. Love the idea of a smaller, intimate experience like a Fenway or Wrigley.

Let’s be honest about the #Rays proposed stadium. $892-million — we know projects almost NEVER come in at cost and always higher. I can see this hitting close to one billion dollars. I love the Rays, and the design and concept is beautiful, but come on, Stu knows this won’t work.

Nikita Kucherov got paid by the Lightning just in time for the Tampa Bay Rays to ask him for a down payment on that new Ybor City baseball stadium.
