ST. PETERSBURG - Add RHP Casey Sadler to the pitchers with big-league experience invited to spring training with the Rays.
Sadler, 28, pitched for the Pirates in 2014 and 2015, then went through Tommy John surgery in November 2015 and a long recovery before making it back to the majors last August.
Over the three seasons, he has pitched in nine big-league games with a 1-1, 6.86 mark.
He spent most of 2018 with Triple-A Indianapolis, posting a 6-5, 3.39 mark in 27 games, making eight starts.
Sadler was a 25th round pick in 2010 out of Western Oklahoma State.
