The football careers of former USF players D’Ernest Johnson, Sean Price and Quinterrius Eatmon formally have been re-booted.

All three made the Orlando Apollos' final 52-player roster, the club announced Wednesday. Orlando, one of eight teams in the upstart Alliance of American Football, opens its season Feb. 9 against Atlanta at UCF’s Spectrum Stadium.

“After a month of training camp in San Antonio, we’re excited to show our fans in Orlando a team that they will really be proud of,” Apollos coach Steve Spurrier said in a club news release. “The Alliance is a league of opportunity, and these 52 players have made the most of theirs."

No other USF player appears on a final league roster. Former Bulls QB B.J. Daniels, taken by Salt Lake in the second round of the inaugural AAF draft, isn’t listed on the Stallions' final roster.

The USF trio hardly represents the only Tampa link to the Apollos. Also making the team were former UCF standouts Aaron Evans (Armwood) and Tony Guerad (Tampa Bay Tech), DT Leon Orr (Gulf) and DE Ryan Davis (Blake).

The Atlanta Legends roster features three former bay area prep standouts: QB Aaron Murray (Plant), OL Brandon Pertile (Countryside) and LB Tyriq McCord (Jefferson). Former Land O’Lakes High LB Shaheed Salmon made the Birmingham Iron roster.
