TAMPA — It’s do or die for the Lightning tonight as the team looks to avoid a series sweep against the Blue Jackets in Game 4.Favored Tampa Bay has dropped three consecutive games against Columbus, the first time the team has lost three games in a row all season long. But Nikita Kucherov doesn’t sense the pressure.“There’s no pressure,” he said. “I don’t know, we just want to take one point at a time and see what’s going to happen. We’re a confident group, and we have good players, good goalies and we’re just going to have fun.”Kucherov said he thought he saw the team have some life in it during the third period of Game 3. Tampa Bay was only down by one with less than a minute to go in the third period, but an empty-netter scored by Cam Atkinson sealed a two-goal victory for the Blue Jackets.“We just want to have fun,” Kucherov said Tuesday morning. “It seems like the guys had fun in the last game in the third period and some chances and we’re just going to build on that.”Kucherov will return to the lineup tonight after serving a one-game suspension in Sunday’s game for boarding against Columbus’ Marcus Nutivaara. The Lightning faces potential playoff elimination tonight after one of the most historic regular seasons in NHL history. But now regular-season records don’t mean anything, and everything seems to be falling in Columbus’ favor. Tampa Bay will need something exceptional to happen to avoid one of the biggest letdowns in sports.“People expect us to do something special,” Kucherov said. “I don’t think there was a lot of pressure (at the beginning of the series). It’s playoffs, everyone is a good team and there’s no easy team to go by, and we’re just going to go out there and play.” Contact Mari Faiello at email@example.com . Follow @faiello_mari .
