Dustin Johnson, ranked third in the Official World Golf Rankings, has committed to the Valspar Championship. This will be a second straight visit to the Coppperhead Course at Innisbrook for Johnson, who was the world’s top-ranked golfer when he played last year.
Johnson will join the current top player in the world, former Florida State standout Brooks Koepka, in the 2020 field. Johnson has won 20 PGA Tour events, including the 2016 U.S. Open. He has played on four Ryder Cup teams.
Johnson tied for sixth in last year’s Valspar Championship. He was in the final group with Paul Casey, who is the two-time defending champion. Casey is also in the 2020 field.
The Valspar Championship will be played on March 19-22.
