CLEARWATER — The Clearwater Threshers postponed Friday night’s game against Fort Myers at BayCare Ballpark to conduct contact tracing and testing, according to the minor league baseball team’s website.

“We are adhering to minor league baseball’s health and safety protocols and will practice caution as we follow the guidance of experts,” a statement on the website said. “Further updates will be provided as available.”

The Threshers share the stadium with the Philadelphia Phillies, who use the field for spring training. Last year, six Phillies players and five staffers at the facility tested positive.
