The franchise relocated from Atlanta after the 2010-11 season. The Penguins, playing back-to-back road games after losing 2-1 in Minnesota on Saturday, got only Evgeni Malkin's power-play goal late in the second. They are 0-4-0 in the second of back-to-back games this season and have been outscored in those games 29-7."We gave up some high-quality chances (to the Jets)," coach Mike Sullivan said. "It's hard to win when you play that way. … The team has to focus in on the thankless jobs."Brendan Lemieux, son of former NHL player Claude Lemieux, scored his first NHL goal in the third period.Game highlights: Ducks backup goalie Ryan Miller stopped 34 shots in his first appearance of the year in a 4-3 shootout win over the host Hurricanes.
