Though the stats weren't good after RHP Matt Andriese came off the DL, winless with a 7.77 ERA in five starts, he did show he was healthy after a 2½ month stint for a hip injury, which counts for something. He lines up to be a key part of the '18 rotation.
For some players, the final week provides a chance to put a good and confidence-building cap on their season. For LF Corey Dickerson, it can't come soon enough. An 0-for-4 Wednesday left him hitting .218 since his majors-best .330 mark on June 26.
RHP Alex Colome is running out of time to break the franchise record of 48 saves, much less get to 50. Colome got his 46th Saturday, but that was his only one in 10 days, and only four games are left. He does look good to be the first Ray to lead the majors in saves.
