On Smyly: Worked into the sixth and got a W on Friday in Oakland in his second start since coming off the DL. Is 2-1, 1.84 in 14 games (four starts) vs. Twins, yielding one or no runs in three of the starts.

On Milone: Threw 85 pitches over 51/3 innings Friday in a no-decision at O's, then came back Sunday to throw 12 pitches in the 12th to get the save. Former A's pitcher is 2-2, 6.17 in four games vs. Rays.
