USF at Tulane

When/where: 3; Devlin Fieldhouse, New Orleans

Radio: 1010-AM

Records: USF 7-9, 1-2 AAC; Tulane 11-4, 2-1

Notable: The two former C-USA foes meet for the first time in 10 years. The Green Wave, picked last in the American Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll, are coming off an eight-point loss Wednesday to Temple. Their other three losses (Wake Forest, St. John's, Washington) also were quality defeats. Watch for G Jonathan Stark, who leads Tulane in scoring (12.5 ppg) and assists (4.1), and has 23 of the Green Wave's league-leading 111 steals. The Bulls will try and replicate the early stage of Tuesday's 58-44 loss to UConn, when guards Anthony Collins and Corey Allen used effective dribble penetration to get their big men involved. Allen ranks third in the AAC in scoring (15.7 ppg) while PF Chris Perry ranks third in rebounding (7.5 rpg). Six-foot-11 freshman Ruben Guerrero (5.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 13 blocks) has started six of the past eight games and has converted nine of his past 13 field-goal tries.
