TAMPA — Rookie receiver Scotty Miller will be active today for the first time in the regular season, giving the Bucs six wide receivers against the New York Giants.

Wide receiver Breshad Perriman, who has just two catches for 10 yards over the first two games and hasn’t been a downfield threat so far this season, will also be active.

Perriman was a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday with a quad injury. He was a full participant on Friday, but coach Bruce Arians indicated he could be a game-time decision.

Miller, whose start to the season was slowed by a hamstring injury that kept him out of the first three preseason games, was drafted in the sixth round to provide a speed threat who could stretch the field.

The Bucs are facing a Giants pass defense that ranks 30th in the league with 321 yards a game.

Also, offensive tackle Josh Wells, who was signed following the Bucs' first game and was inactive in Week 2, will be active as a reserve swing tackle.

That's an indicator of where the Bucs sit with their tackle depth. Before the season began, they acquired tackle Jerald Hawkins from the Steelers, and he is inactive today after dressing last week.

The other Bucs inactives are quarterback Blaine Gabbert, cornerback Jamel Dean, outside linebacker Devante Bond, guard Zack Bailey and tight end Tanner Hudson.
