TAMPA — Mike Evans admits he didn’t make some plays he normally makes in the Bucs 37-26 loss to the Panthers in London. He didn’t come back for the football on the first play of the game and the pass was intercepted. He failed to haul in a deep ball from Jameis Winston.Evans still finished with nine catches for 96 yards, but it took 17 targets.“There’s plays I need to make. And plays I will make in the future and plays I’m definitely capable of making,’’ Evans said.So what does Evans plan to do differently after the off week when the Bucs play at Tennessee Sunday?“I mean, this year I haven’t really been as physical,’’ said Evans, who had three offensive pass interference penalties in 2018 but none this season.“I haven’t had to push off as much. I feel I win cleaner at the line now. But I need to be more physical, definitely. I need to take it back to the first couple years in the league and start getting extra physical. Because it’s a little easier to be extra physical with quicker twitch guys.’’The reason Evans has had cleaner breaks from the line of scrimmage is because he’s 20 pounds lighter than when he entered the league as a first-round pick out of Texas A&M in 2014.“My weight is down a little bit, so I’m a little bit quicker,’’ Evans said. “I’m not as tired out there so I can do more.“My conditioning is way better. When I came in, I was 240-something pounds and now I’m 220. So I’m moving better and feeling better. My diet is a little bit better. I’m not eating burgers and pizza anymore. And steak. I used to do it big my first couple years, having money it felt good. But I don’t eat as bad.’’Evans is on pace for 72 catches for 1,237 yards and 10.6 touchdowns this season. It would be his sixth consecutive season with at least 1,000-yards receiving to start his career, tying him only with Randy Moss.
