Tom Brady, NFL help raise coronavirus awareness with StayHomeStayStrong campaign

The new Bucs quarterback is among 50 players, coaches and legends in a public service announcement trying to encourage everyone to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

TAMPA — Tom Brady is eager to get together with his new Bucs teammates and begin throwing footballs to them.

But for now, he’s among 50 NFL players and coaches and legends who helped create a public service announcement that encourages everyone to #StayHomeStayStrong to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The list of players who will appear in the PSA includes Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Browns receiver Jarvis Landry and Saints coach Sean Payton, who recently contracted the coronavirus but is recovering.

"The goal is to inspire America at a time when we need to unite the most,'' the NFL said in a release announcing the initiative.

The NFL players, coaches and owners have made initial donations of more than $35 million to provide relief to those affected by COVID-19.
