TAMPA ― The Bucs’ offensive line continues to be bitten by the injury bug. While guard Ali Marpet practiced Wednesday, he remains in concussion protocol.Left tackle Donovan Smith has an ankle sprain, and center A.Q. Shipley suffered a pinched nerve during Monday night’s 27-24 loss to the Rams. Neither player practiced Wednesday, coach Bruce Arians said.If Shipley and Marpet are unable to play Sunday against the Chiefs, the Bucs would move Ryan Jensen back to center from left guard, and Aaron Stinnie would start at left guard. In addition, cornerback Jamel Dean is in concussion protocol after a helmet-to-helmet hit in Monday’s loss.“Both those guys are in the (concussion) protocol,” coach Bruce Arians said of Marpet and Dean. “I think Ali’s getting closer. The only other person who missed today was Donovan Smith with his ankle and A.Q. Shipley. We’ll see how the week goes. Donovan, he doesn’t miss many games, so we have our fingers crossed he’ll make it and we’ll see more on A.Q. tomorrow.”
