TAMPA — GOAT buys boat is more than a catchy headline.
According to TMZ, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady purchased a 40-foot-plus, custom-built boat to presumably travel around Tampa Bay.
The vessel was delivered to a St. Petersburg marina Thursday, and Brady was there to happily receive it. The metallic blue boat is named Viva a Vida, which is the name of wife Giselle’s environmental initiative.
TMZ estimated the boat cost a couple million dollars. Of course, Brady has made more than $200 million in his career just in salary and is in the first year of a two-year, $50 million contract with the Bucs.
Brady had a pair of jet skis break free from his dock at the Derek Jeter mansion he is renting on Davis Islands during a recent tropical storm. They were recovered, however.
Hopefully, the new boat will be more properly secured. It could also mean Brady may make Florida his home for awhile.
