TAMPA — Tom Brady keeps his promises.
He vowed to help lead the Bucs to a win in Super Bowl 55, and following that victory, he and tight end Rob Gronkowski looked into the cameras and proclaimed “We’re going to Disney World!”
Gronk visited the Magic Kingdom in Orlando the day after the game.
During Easter weekend, two months after winning his seventh Lombardi Trophy, Brady arrived at Walt Disney World with family and friends.
On Monday, the Super Bowl MVP explored Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios.
According to a release by Disney, Brady got to learn “the ways of the Force” and built his own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop.
“Brady continued his adventure when he piloted the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and faced Kylo Ren and the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.”
No surprise Brady beat the Falcon.
Brady took to Instagram to share his experience.
“Thank you @waltdisneyworld for showing me and my family an incredible time. Darth Vader told my son Benny ‘the force is strong with this one’ and now I will be spending the rest of the week convincing him that a) Jedi isn’t a real profession and b) he is not allowed on the ‘dark side,’” Brady wrote.
Brady is recovering from knee surgery and there’s still no word on when he will resume workouts.
Our guess is the Bucs’ fast-passing quarterback didn’t have to wait in line.
