CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Punter Bradley Pinion is among six Bucs players deemed inactive today against the Panthers, meaning Armwood High alumnus Sterling Hofrichter will handle punts and kickoffs this afternoon.

The other inactives: quarterback Kyle Trask, receiver Mike Evans, cornerback Pierre Desir, safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul. Evans, Winfield and Pierre-Paul all are injured.

Cornerbacks Richard Sherman (Achilles) and Jamel Dean (illness), listed as questionable as recently as Friday, both are active.

A two-time first-team All-ACC pick and Syracuse and seventh-round pick of the Falcons in 2020, Hofrichter averaged 42.5 yards on 56 punts last season, and sent 16 of his 22 kickoffs for touchbacks. He was cut by Atlanta from injured reserve in August 2020 following an undisclosed injury.

Pinion, who has struggled mightily the last two games, is dealing with an unspecified hip injury.
