TAMPA — The Bucs are hurting at inside linebacker.

Both starters, Lavonte David (groin) and Devin White (foot), did not practice Thursday. Rookie backup SirVocea Dennis, who played 90% of the snaps last week at Indianapolis, missed a second straight day due to illness.

Cornerback Jamel Dean (ankle) also was out.

Dennis had six tackles, including five solo, in his first extended playing time on defense this season in the Bucs’ 27-20 loss to the Colts.

While White played, he appeared limited by the foot injury, overrunning a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Gardner Minshew. White was limited in practice Wednesday.

David has not played since suffering a groin injury Nov. 19 at San Francisco. He was working with a trainer on a side practice field Thursday.

Rookie outside linebacker YaYa Diaby, who was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury, did practice Thursday.
