Like many in his profession these days, USF football coach Jeff Scott took to social media Wednesday to urge his followers to practice social distancing and responsible hygiene.

But his message came with a heart-warming audible at the end: He and wife Sara are expecting their second child ― a boy ― in August.

Delivering the announcement, issued on the official USF football Twitter handle, was the Scotts’ 4-year-old daughter, Savannah.

“I’m gonna be a big sister,” Savannah said.

The news comes 3½ months after Scott, 39, was formally introduced as the fifth coach in USF history. He and Sara met while students at Clemson. The family resides in Tampa Palms.
