USF men’s basketball’s game vs. FAMU canceled due to coronavirus-related issues

The game against the Rattlers, scheduled for Friday, will not be rescheduled.

The USF men’s basketball program announced Friday that its evening contest against Florida A&M has been canceled due to COVID-19-related issues within the Rattlers’ program. The game will not be rescheduled.

It’s the first game of the men’s season that has been canceled due to the pandemic. The team has 22 games remaining on its schedule, including a non-conference game Dec. 12 against LSU before jumping into conference play Dec. 16 against Cincinnati.

The Bulls (2-2) will next face Stetson Tuesday at the Yuengling Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Between the men’s and women’s programs, two games have been canceled due to COVID-19-related issues in other programs. The women’s team had to cancel its game against the Hatters scheduled for Dec. 13.
