Two more USF women’s basketball games have been postponed due to a positive coronavirus case within the program and the ensuing contact tracing , the athletic department announced Tuesday in a news release.
No decisions have been made regarding potential rescheduled dates for home games originally slated for Wednesday against Temple and Saturday against Cincinnati.
The games become the seventh and eighth removed from USF’s schedule this season. This past Saturday’s game at East Carolina was postponed for the same reason.
Contests against Houston (Dec. 19) and Wichita State (Wednesday) were postponed due to coronavirus-related issues within those programs, according to USF. Additionally, all three games against SMU have been canceled after the Mustangs opted out of playing the remainder of the season.
No. 13 USF is next scheduled to play Feb. 7 at noon at UCF in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
Meanwhile, USF’s men’s basketball team announced last week that it has stopped all team activities due to coronavirus-related issues within its program.
