Week 2 Heisman and record watches

One week of college football is in the books. Here's an early look at Heisman contenders:

5. Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett: Six touchdown passes in the opener and plenty more likely coming against Tulsa.

4. Florida State RB Dalvin Cook: Kept out of the end zone for the first time in 10 games (excluding injury) but quietly finished with 192 total yards.

3. Georgia RB Nick Chubb: Rushed for 222 yards and two scores; yeah, I'd say his surgically repaired knee is fine.

2. Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey: Top play against Kansas State was a punt return that was called back and rushed for two scores that counted.

1. Clemson QB Deshaun Watson: Didn't dominate, but 248 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown pass on the road against Auburn isn't too shabby.
