Two things I had never seen before Saturday: Gators DB C.J. McWilliams getting flagged for not having his knees covered (giving Georgia a first down in the red zone), and P Tommy Townsend having to kick again because his punt hit a TV camera wire.

UF coach Dan Mullen said Monday that open dates give teams time to add new wrinkles. He was answering a question about Georgia backup QB Justin Fields, but he had something up his sleeve, too, giving freshman QB Emory Jones five snaps.

This will get overshadowed by the final score, but UF's goal-line stand at the end of the third quarter was remarkable. Georgia had seven snaps (including penalties) inside the 2 but still couldn't reach the end zone.
