The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Virginia native was one of the nation’s top 350 overall recruits in the class of 2019 and a four-star talent. He looked like a true freshman during his run through spring practice and wasn’t expected to challenge for the starting job this season. In UF’s spring game, he rushed three times for 63 yards and a touchdown but was 1-of-3 passing for five yards.

His departure would leave UF with three quarterbacks —incumbent starter Feleipe Franks, blue-chip redshirt freshman Emory Jones and veteran backup Kyle Trask.
