The Florida Gators picked up a local commit Saturday when Jesuit three-star tight end Jonathan Odom orally pledged to UF.
Odom is the son of former Gators and Bucs offensive lineman Jason Odom. He had eight of the Tigers’ 17 touchdown catches as a junior last season.
Odom is the nation’s No. 32 tight end and one of the top 150 prospects in the state for the class of 2020. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound recruit also held offers from LSU and Alabama, among others. He’s also HomeTeam’s No. 10 local prospect and the Gators’ 11th commitment for a class that ranks No. 8 nationally.
Oral commitments are non-binding until recruits sign letters of intent during their senior year.
